Your Last Day On Earth

Have you ever watched the show Grey's Anatomy? I don't usually, but tonight it was on as I was getting organized for the week. Something about this particualr show's ending caught my attention, so I stopped to watch the concluding scene. The narrator was talking about her last day on Earth. She said, "If today was your last day on earth, how would you spend it?"

What a thought! For some reason, I got tears in my eyes. I know exactly what I would do. I would spend the day with Phil just singing and praising God. I know without a shadow of doubt in my mind that is what I would do. Again, what a thought! I have never really thought about it before, but it strikes me as comforting that I know eactly what I would do.

My life is a good one. It has had ups and downs, but as I was telling someone last night, those ups and downs are what have molded me into who I am today. Thank you Lord for my life: past, present, and future! Thank you for everything you have blessed me with and everyone you have blessed me with. Thank you for Your Son. As the song says, "Thank you for saving me, for loving me."

So, if today was your last day on Earth, how would you spend it?

I would want my family and whatever friends who could to hop a plane to Espana so I could have both things I really love around me: my favorite country and my favorite people. (Of course, Espana is six hours ahead, so I don't know if that would count for my last real day...).
